Poems for the Mind

Of Peace, Lost and Found

There once was a man,

Lost in his hunger,

When he found his food,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost in his loneliness,

When he found his companion,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost in his boredom,

When he found his passion,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost in his thoughts,

When he found his voice,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost in his sleeplessness,

When he found his silence,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost in his questions,

When he found his answers,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost in his sickness,

When he found his health,

He also found his peace

There once was a man,

Lost without his peace,

When he found himself,

He also found his peace

Dear Reader,

This is story of one man. It is also the story of you and me, and everybody.

We begin our lives surrounded by the peace that is our mother’s womb, and the moment we come out, we lose this peace. From then, life is all about finding our pieces of peace through our family, our friends, our work, and the solutions we figure out for our problems. And with every piece of peace that every find, we also find a piece of ourselves.

Here’s to finding your pieces of peace and completing yourself!
